How long will a foreclosure stay on my credit?

A foreclosure stays on your credit report for seven years.  It will take about two to three years after the foreclosure for you to obtain credit.  After saying that, I have witnessed that rare occasion of individuals getting credit within one year of their foreclosure.  Just keep your fingers crossed, I guess.
